On Sunday, Jan. 20, award-winning artist Synthia Saint James hosted a book signing for journey to the woman i've come to love author Miki Turner at her home in Los Feliz. Several of the women featured in the book including: Lethe Ward, Laurel Holloman, Jenny Burney, Molly Faulkner, Carlota Espinosa, Laurel Hill-Simeone, Perle Meneses Nunez and Saint James were on hand to personally share their response to the question the book asks: at what point did you fall in love with yourself?
After a brief program and Q&A session, the 50 guests toasted to celebrating their respective journeys and toured Saint James' colorful gallery.
"It was such a cool, positive vibe," Turner said. "A lot of people had very visceral emotional reactions to what was said and shared. It really is the start of a movement."
Sunday was Turner's first L.A. book signing. She has already accepted invitations to sign at the Lakenheath Air Force base in England; and will be discussing her book at the Women of the World conference in London in March.

Just finished your amazing book. BRAVO!!!! A true work of art. I admire all the women and their experiences-- it reminded me that I am not so alone in my struggles. We all have the ability within us to come out on top, shining!!! Thank you, Miki....I can't wait for PART 2!!!
